Official site of the England and Wales Cricket Board
If you want to start playing cricket but don't know where to start, then this page will set you off in the right direction - and provide help with finding a team or a club.
The Cricket Development Manager and development staff in your county can give you some information as a first point of contact. They can also give you guidance on how to set up after-school cricket clubs and lots of other ways to get you playing the game
If you are interested in playing women's or girls' cricket then the ECB's Women's Regional Cricket Managers will be able to provide information on possible clubs in your area.
You could also try and locate a club yourself close to where you live or work. A useful feature to help you do this is the Directory Search that runs on ECB's Play-Cricket network of sites. This currently has more than 4500 active clubs on the system - with their contact details.
When on www.play-cricket.com you will see the Directory Search down the left-hand side column of the site. | Set it up to look for active club sites in your county, and try your town's name too and see what club results are given back to you. |
From those results you can go straight to the contact links and get in touch with the club to see whether it provides a good match.
There is also a Cricket Exchange facility on Play-Cricket that you can use to advertise yourself as looking for a club.
