Durham 2nd XI’s final Championship match of the 2008 season against Yorkshire has been called off due to the heavy rain the region has been subjected to in the past few weeks.
The game, due to take place at Seaton Carew CC, was scheduled for Monday 15th – Wednesday 17th September.
Durham, who are unbeaten this season, have had recent scheduling problems with the weather and were forced to move venues for the 2nd XI clash against Gloucestershire last week.
The north-east county are currently top of the Second XI table after winning eight and drawing seven of their 15 games this season.
Yorkshire have also enjoyed a respectable season and sit fourth in the table, having won four and drawn six out of 14 games.
