Indian tour ticket info confirmed

The Indian grounds staging the matches between England and India in March and April have revealed how tickets can be obtained in advance for the forthcoming matches.

Tickets for the first Test in Nagpur between March 1-5 can be purchased in person from February 22 or can be reserved by emailing the Vidarbha Cricket Association on vca_nagpur@sify.com. Ticket prices range from 2000 rupees at the south end of the ground to 1250 rupees.

Tour operators can reserves tickets for the second test in Mohali from the Punjab Cricket Association with seats in the air-conditioned lounge costing US$400 for a five-day package. This includes hospitality. The pavilion terrace tickets can be reserved for US$125 for a five-day package by tour operators.

Individual tourists/spectators can only buy tickets in person from the ticket office, which will begin sale 15 days before the March 9 start of the match.

The Test series concludes with the third Test in Mumbai and again tickets ranging from 5000 rps a day to 2000 rps a day can be reserved by emailing mcacrik@vsnl.com. Tickets will go on sale at the ground on March 8 to fans in person – 10 days before the start of the game.

Ticket prices: (These are approximate as they haven't been fixed yet) Pavilion 2500-3000 rupees; Gallery 300-350 rupees.
The tickets will go on sale last week in February / first week in March, but it is possible to book now.
Please fax ticket requirements to 0091 731 2534653, including your fax number and they will reply with your booking. Payment is due on arrival in the town and ticket collection is also on arrival in the town. They will be available from one week before the match.
