Former Lancashire batsman Mark Currie made 84 to take Alderley Edge one step closer to their first ECB Premier League title in The Right Move Abroad Cheshire County League after a five-wicket win over Neston.
The home side were dismissed for 157, with Stan Clifford making 59 and Alderley did not falter on their way to victory, reaching their target within 30 overs.
Second placed Bowdon completed a four wicket win over Hyde, with Richard Wilkinson the main destroyer with an all round contribution of 3-18 and a feisty half century.
The win takes Bowdon to 33 points behind Alderley Edge with four games of the season remaining.
Nantwich took 25 points from their win at Macclesfield where Rob Cook-Sievewright made a timely 33 to clinch victory after the home side had made 186.
In their relegation battle, Heaton Mersey and Urmston produced a close contest with Mersey posting only their second win in 18 games after Urmston fell 13 runs short of the target.
The match between Widnes and Chester Boughton Hall was abandoned after Widnes reached 85-3 in reply to 148 while Oulton Park made 71 without loss in reply Toft’s 240-7 before the rain came with Toft skipper Andy Bones hitting an unbeaten 123.
