Young stars set for battle

The best young women cricketers in the country have been selected to play in the Junior Super 4s.

Fifty-two cricketers, who are all under 19, have been divided into four teams - Sapphires, Emeralds, Diamonds and Rubies - for the competition which starts on August 19.

Each team will play three 50-over matches in a round-robin format with the winner being the one who accumulates the most points.

The competition is similar to the senior version which was won by Sapphires earlier in the summer.
