Veteran opening batsman Sanath Jayasuriya has been named in the Sri Lanka squad for the triangular one-day series in Bangladesh early next year.
Sri Lanka are scheduled to play two Tests and a one-day series which also features Zimbabwe.
Jayasuriya, 39, a veteran of 417 ODIs, opted out of the recent series in Zimbabwe.
But Sri Lanka’s record run-scorer in 50-over cricket will replace Mahela Udawatte, who failed to make an impact in the series against Zimbabwe, which Sri Lanka won 5-0.
Seamer Chaminda Vaas has been recalled to Test squad, but left out of the one-day team.
Sri Lanka's tour of Bangladesh begins with a tour match on December 21, while the Tests are scheduled for December 26 and January 3.
