West Indies all-rounder Marlon Samuels has been reported to the International Cricket Council for a suspected illegal bowling action.
Umpires Simon Taufel, Aleem Dar and Brian Jerling were unhappy with Samuels’ quicker ball during the Windies' defeat by South Africa in the third Test in Durban.
ICC match referee Roshan Mahanama said: "Concerns have been raised by the match officials over the legality of Marlon's bowling action with particular reference to his 'fast ball' when viewed with the naked eye.
"We are therefore requesting the ICC to commission a biomechanical report into the bowler's fast-ball action in accordance with the process introduced in 2005."
Samuels claimed the wicket of Jacques Kallis en route to figures of 1-90 in South Africa's only innings in the third Test.
West Indies lost by an innings and 100 runs inside three days as the hosts sealed a 2-1 series victory.
