Kevin Pietersen’s century in the fifth one-day international against India has thrust him to the top of the Overall England MVP.
Pietersen’s unbeaten 111 in the tourists’ six-wicket defeat at Cuttack sees him usurp previous leader Stuart Broad by a single point.
Broad did not bat as England went 5-0 down in the series and his figures of 1-54 were not enough keep him in front of his captain.
James Anderson remains third despite being dropped for the Cuttack clash, ending a run of 44 consecutive ODI appearances. Andrew Flintoff, who made a duck and went wicketless, holds on to fourth while Ian Bell, who was left out after 35 ODIs, is fifth.
Broad is still clear at the top of the ODI MVP. Pietersen remains third, just two points behind Flintoff, after his hundred.
Owais Shah’s 332 runs in five innings, including 66 not out in Cuttack on the back of 72 in the fourth match at Bangalore, have boosted his position in fourth. Bell, despite missing the last match, is fifth.
