Kevin Pietersen currently occupies second spot in each of the England MVP categories and is closing fast on the overall leader James Anderson.
Anderson leads his new captain by 12 points courtesy of tremendous performances in Test cricket where he is ranked first but Pietersen averages twice as many points-per-game in one-day cricket than his opening bowler and will feel confident of reeling him in by the end of the summer.
Anderson is the team's leading wicket-taker with 41 wickets while Pietersen is far and away the leading run-scorer with 872 runs.

Stuart Broad is the man keeping Pietersen off the top in the one-day international MVP and is in third place in the overall MVP. Broad has 308 runs and 27 wickets across all cricket.
Ian Bell lies fourth overall with 617 runs, including 199 in the first Test against South Africa at Lord's. He has 180 runs in ODIs with regular contributions although he's yet to register a fifty in the 50-over game this summer.
Ryan Sidebottom will struggle to hold onto fifth spot in the overall England MVP after it was revealed that his groin injury has forced him out of the remaining ODIs against South Africa. The left-armer has taken 25 wickets for England this summer, 23 of which have come in the Test arena.
Andrew Flintoff is already making huge strides up the leaderboard to eighth. The big all-rounder has only played four full matches since his return from injury yet he has notched 191 runs and 14 wickets.
